The company has more than 60 locations through which it distributes products, equipment and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ecommerce Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of our online sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecommerce, digital marketing, and sales, with a passion for driving growth and maximizing revenue through online channels. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Execute the overall ecommerce strategy, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and goal setting. Manage the day-to-day operations of the ecommerce platform, ensuring optimal functionality, user experience, and performance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, average order value, and customer acquisition cost, and take appropriate action to achieve targets. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in the ecommerce industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to drive initiatives that enhance the online shopping experience and drive sales. Oversee the creation and optimization of product listings, descriptions, and imagery to maximize visibility and sales. Manage relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and service providers to support ecommerce operations, such as payment processors, logistics partners, and digital marketing agencies. Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in ecommerce and digital marketing, and recommend strategies to stay ahead of the competition. Analyze customer behavior and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in products, services, and processes. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to ecommerce operations, including data privacy, consumer protection, ADA compliance and payment security. Qualifications/ Skills Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, ecommerce, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience. Proven track record of success in ecommerce management, with at least 5 of experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce), content management systems (CMS), and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience with SEO, SEM, email marketing, and other digital marketing channels is a plus. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web development languages and tools is required.
